Terry L. Yoho, CPA/ABV, MA, CFE, CFF
Director of Valuation Services
“I enjoy helping clients succeed because I feel for people, and I’ll jump through hoops to meet their deadlines.”
Despite her Master’s degree in Accountancy from Case Western Reserve University, Terry Yoho is one accountant who will never audit you — and that’s just the first reason clients love her.
Terry Yoho’s creative drive (she is an accomplished glass-blower) and love for variety make her a perfect fit for two of FHF’s specialized, high-stakes services: forensics and business valuation. For 23 years, these have required her to think outside the box, reason empathetically, and track down every lead. On one occasion Terry’s dedication led to her discovery of $1M in overseas accounts. But it’s not just the hunt that motivates her. Underlying Terry’s craft is a heart for individuals in need: “I enjoy this because I feel for people who have been taken advantage of.”
This compassion has benefitted countless professionals who have been connected through Terry’s gift for networking. A former chapter foundation director for eWomenNetwork, Terry finds joy in helping younger colleagues discover opportunities to grow professionally as well as personally.
It’s little wonder that Terry was a finalist for the 2014 ATHENA Award, honoring those who have “assisted women in realizing their full leadership potential, have achieved success in their careers and have given back to their communities.” Other recognitions include “Top 10 Women in Accounting” in the Business and Professional Women’s Journal, Strathmore’s Who’s Who Millennium Edition, Who’s Who of Rising Young Americans, and the National Register of Who’s Who in Executives and Professionals.
Asked how she measures a day’s work as Director of Valuation Services, Terry answers with characteristic confidence:
“What’s the crisis of the day? You think you come in to serve one client, and you leave having met the needs of three others. Client service is extremely important — and if you have to work all night, you work all night.”
Terry’s long nights continue to bring bright dawns for her clients and lead FHF toward the horizon.
