Randall S. Kuvin, CPA/ABV, CFF
“I like to find the opportunities in a place and make it work — make it my own, make the most of it.”
If anyone’s personal story and professional career mirror the pioneering, relationship-driven, service-minded spirit that characterizes the Flagel Huber Flagel community, it’s Randy Kuvin’s.
Randy knew he was CPA-bound from the age of sixteen. What he didn’t know is that before his disciplined focus would carry him to FHF leadership, his talents would be refined by risks and opportunities within and beyond the world of accounting.
It was Jerry Flagel himself, when interviewing Randy years ago, who cast a vision that Randy would one day make his own. Seven years later, the opportunity came: Would Randy and another partner spearhead the expansion to Cincinnati, with just one client and no infrastructure? Confronted with uprooting his career, relationships, and community involvement — now with a growing family — Randy faced an anguishing decision. Ultimately, the prospect of re-creating FHF in uncharted territory overpowered Randy’s hesitation.
Asked about his strategy — then and now — Randy says, “Be helpful in every way possible. I’ve always looked at my relationships that way. It’s not about billing for everything that you do, it’s about responding to what clients need, whether giving them advice, answering questions, or asking questions that lead to answers.”
Randy’s philosophy of going the extra mile has carved some unexpected trails, including his election as a Deerfield Township trustee in 2002. Although he opted not to seek reelection in 2005, Randy continues to serve his community as a board member of the Northeast Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce and as Board President of Working in Neighborhoods, a Cincinnati-based nonprofit organization.
Randy still resides in Deerfield Township with Gina, his wife of 29 years.
Currently Randy’s FHF relationships center on accounting, auditing, tax, and consulting needs of closely held businesses and high net worth individuals, with concentrations in real estate development, construction, and management industries.
